EU Year of the Citizen

Metro International devised a bespoke branded editorial partnership for the European Union’s European Year of the Citizen campaign. Metro’s journalists worked with local European Union representatives to produce 2 and 4 pages of engaging and interesting branded content, designed to educate readers about the benefits and rights they have as European citizens. The insertions were organised to coordinate with events taking place in the capitals to celebrate the campaign.

 

The branded content ran in newspapers across 10 countries in Europe along with online content and a survey to encourage reader participation on the days the respective events took place.
