MX Metroxpress Denmark

In 2001 MX Metroxpress became the first free newspaper to be published in Denmark.

The newspaper was initially distributed as Metro and only distributed in Copenhagen, however, the name was later changed to Metroxpress and then distrubited to the rest of the country. In 2008 MX Metroxpress merged with 24timer but still appeared as two independent newspapers. In 2012 Metroxpress had come under the ownership of the Swiss media group Tamedia. The new owners closed 24timer and re-launched Metroxpress in April 2013 with a new look. The average circulation of MX Metroxpress is 310,000 and the goal is to reach 455,000 by the end

of 2013.
